MARINE CONSERVATION AND RESTORATION : MACROALGAL FORESTS EXEMPLE

This subject is framed in the analysis of the impacts on different world ecosystems. Each of them has different impacts, and therefore their perspectives are diverse. Different experts take part in each of the realities, in order to be able to achieve the objectives.

With regard to marine ecosystems, the subject has a set of researchers who analyze the evolution of impacts and their reality. These spaces have historically been linked to human activities for thousands of years, whether for fishing, trade or, more recently, for tourism.

The specific case of the Mediterranean is affected by a diversity of situations, but its marine wealth has also been affected by climate change. The macroalgae forest is of key importance in the fight against this process. During the course we work in a practical way to know its reality but also with future perspectives for its restoration. We want to provide not only tools to understand the impacts, but also others for their improvement.
